Welcome to the official website of Clark Moore!
Clark is an actor, dancer, singer, screenwriter, and author. He was the runner-up on season 3 of NBC's The Sing Off with his a cappella group, the Dartmouth Aires and he recently appeared on season 4 of Fox's award-winning musical comedy, Glee. Clark is now based in Los Angeles, California, though he considers himself "nomadic," working on projects in Los Angeles, New York and London.
A Georgia boy, born and raised, Clark made his debut in the theater at
age 7 when he discovered his love for the performing arts at the Atlanta Workshop Players. From there he signed with his first manager and began to work as a child actor in and around Atlanta. He performed at The Alliance Theater, Marrietta Theater in the Square, the 14th Street Playhouse, and many other regional theaters. He explored his passion for musical theater at The Paideia School where he directed, choreographed, and starred in many faculty and student-run productions including West Side Story, Into the Woods, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and many others. As a part of the Experiment in International Living, Clark traveled to France living in Avignon and Paris, participating in the French Theater Festival and producing Theatre Sans Animaux by Jean-Michel Ribes. He studied dance in the pre-professional division of the Atlanta Ballet and many other studios in and around Atlanta.
He went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in History, Art History,
and Theater from Dartmouth College. At Dartmouth he explored theater in numerous venues. He played the role of Guy in Pearl Cleage's Blues for an Alabama Sky produced by the Black Underground Theater Association (BUTA) a theater organization with which many notable alumni have been involved including Dartmouth alumna, Shonda Rhimes '91. He played Duane in Hairspray under the direction of Carol Dunne, artistic director of Northern Stage in White River Junction, VT and the New London Barn Playhouse in New London, NH. In one of his favorite performances, he played Chip Tolentino in a student-directed production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. His other activities included, Senior Editor of the Collegiate Journal of Art, OUTreach Peer Mentor, VP of Development of the Green Key Society, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Sugarplum Contemporary Dance Group, Member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and Intern, Web Host and Tour Guide for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
It was at Dartmouth that he discovered his interest in fashion. In his first year he was given a senior column in The Dartmouth Mirror called The DM Manual of Style in which he and his photography partner highlighted Dartmouth's best-dressed to encourage an otherwise under-dressed college campus to express themselves sartorially. During his time at Dartmouth many fashionistas followed-suit and a community of fashion journalists was born. He traveled to London as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow to perform research on the creation of the department store as a new architectural landscape to accommodate industrialization and growing consumerism. This research took him to the Victoria and Albert Museum archives, Harrod's and Le Bon Marché in Paris. He then followed this story to America and explored the resurgence of the preppy aesthetic in American fashion and the interest in Ivy and Prep style through a case study of Ralph Lauren's use of architecture and constructed space to create an aspirational lifestyle brand. His sophomore year, Clark interned at Gant USA's corporate offices in New York where he did PR and Marketing as well as merchandising. He helped sell to big department stores and participated in New York Fashion Week.
Keep an eye out for Clark, if you haven't seen him yet, you will very soon!
